Women We Admire names Amivero’s CEO a Top Woman Leader of VA

Amivero’s amazing leader, Olivia Trivisani Bowker, has created a work environment Amiverians are proud to support, so when she was listed amongst Women We Admire’s Top 50 Women Leaders of Virginia – her inbox was flooded with congratulations and affirmations of deservedness. Being a woman-owned, human-centered small business in the government law enforcement sphere poses an incredible challenge. Breaking into what has been predominately a ‘boys club’ and trying to change that culture to make it more inclusive and move it ahead of its time, is a challenge that Amivero has risen to. Today 41% of its employees are women (vs the IT-industry standard of 26%), 62% are of diverse ethnicities (vs the industry standard of 32%), and 75% of the executive leadership team is female. Additionally, Amivero seeks opportunities to support other women-owned and small-disadvantaged businesses – to date they have supported through time and monetary donations: Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to educate and expand job opportunities, Boulder Crest Foundation which provides a respite to Veterans and first-responders, the DCEd Fund which provides IT equipment to disadvantaged school children in our area, and ad-hoc events lifting-up professional women (Olivia was on the “DC Women who Inspire” panel at Audi Field, and a local, woman-owned business was chosen for Amivero’s employee chocolate tasting event).
